- An Introduction to Medical Tourism Facilitator Relationships – Medical tourism facilitators are often supplemental marketers that augment what the hospital or clinic does on its own to market their program. Some also provide case management, logistics coordination, destination management, and other services.Facilitators include e-commerce vendors, travel agents, destination management companies and others who make a business of referring individual, one-off diagnostic and surgical cases to a clinic, hospital or specialist that offers medical tourism treatments.
- Understand the training and background you should look for, financial and other motivations, and relationship expectations when working with you.
- Understand the branding implications, liabilities, financial arrangements, and how to vet and contract with these marketing affiliates. A sample engagement agreement will be supplied for a hands-on review.
- Aligning Hospitality and Transportation Partners – A review and discussion of supplied checklists for site inspections, sample contracts, DMC contracts and relationships
Day Three
- Hospital Site Visit – We will choose one of three destination hospitals involved in medical tourism in Denver.
- Site Visit – Denver International – Examine the non-public side of Denver International Airport, Airport Services for the disabled, special services, arrangements, TSA need-to-know, using the checklist to put it all together.
- Site Visit – Hotel Partnership Arrangements – Walk the house with several hotel managers (Security, Housekeeping, Room Control, Guest Services and a visit with the Executive Chef to chat about special dietary needs.
